At Wally’s Woolies, we’re always touched by the stories behind the patterns that pass through our shop. Every chart, kit, or booklet holds not just instructions, but memories, traditions, and connections that reach across generations. Recently, Teresa shared a story that beautifully illustrates how needlework ties families together.

“I’m the oldest of 5—3 girls and 2 boys. Mom cross stitched this pattern for all of her girls and the boy version for her boys. I am now a grandmother of a boy and a girl and wanted to stitch the boy version for my grandson and give this one to my granddaughter. When Mom moved to a senior living facility at the beginning of the year, the pattern was lost. I’m so grateful that I found it in your Etsy shop. 😊”

For Teresa, this wasn’t just about finding a pattern—it was about reconnecting with her mother’s legacy and continuing a tradition of love stitched by hand. Her story is a reminder of why we do what we do at Wally’s Woolies: keeping creative supplies in circulation so that memories, traditions, and special moments can live on through the craft. We’re so happy Teresa was able to rediscover this special design and carry on her family’s stitching story. It’s these moments of continuity—where one generation’s stitches inspire the next—that make needlework timeless. 💖 Thank you, Teresa, for sharing your beautiful journey with us.
