Hi friends, and welcome to the very first Wally’s Woolies Blog post! I couldn’t think of a better time to kick this off than now—because fall stitching season has officially arrived. There’s just something about cooler days, cozy nights, and a warm cup of tea that makes picking up a needle and thread feel extra special.

This blog will be a place to share all kinds of things:

  • News & Updates – Announcements about new kits, patterns, and seasonal promotions.
  • Behind-the-Scenes – A peek into my creative process (and plenty of photos). Stories about running Wally’s Woolies as a small business.
  •  Sharing Customer Photos – A spotlight on your amazing finished projects. I love seeing how each piece comes to life in your hands, and this will be a place to feature your stitches. (Tag us on social media or send photos our way to be included!)

How Wally’s Woolies Began ✨

Wally’s Woolies started from a simple love of cross stitching, crocheting, and knitting—and the joy of creating something with my own two hands. Over time, that hobby turned into a passion and eventually into this shop. Years ago, we owned a yarn and cross stitch shop called Samantha Lee’s Stitcheries, where we loved helping others discover the same joy of making. Today, keeping creative supplies in use is at the heart of what we do—rehoming the patterns and kits that crafters have outgrown while giving others the joy of discovering them. It’s our way of keeping crafting materials out of landfills and in the hands of makers who truly enjoy the craft. And of course, the name came from my mom, Wally, who has always been my biggest supporter and inspiration in this creative journey. 💛

What’s Next

As we head into fall, I’ll be sharing new product listings. Think of this blog as our stitching circle—a cozy, creative spot where we can connect and share the love of handmade work. Thank you for being here at the very start of this blog journey.

Here’s to a season full of warm colors, cozy stitches, and plenty of creativity. 💛 Happy stitching,

Samantha
